Frieze Lecture: "Gilead"
Lucas Street, director of the Reading/Writing Center at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø, will discuss "Gilead" by Marilynne Robinson.
This year¡¯s Frieze Lecture Series theme is ¡°Best. Book. Ever.¡± Each lecturer has chosen a work from The Greatest Books (an amalgam of 129 ¡°Best Books¡± lists), and will make the case for their selected work.
This is the last of four lectures in the series, a 24-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø to present four talks in the fall. Lectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays at the Rock Island Main Library, 401 19th St., Community Room.
The lectures will be presented in-person or can viewed as video recordings later. The in-person audience is limited to 25, and registration is required.
