My Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Story: Valeria Melo

Valeria Melo '18 is majoring in Biology and Public Health at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.

As a first-generation college student, Melo took advantage of every opportunity Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø had to offer.

While at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø, she studied abroad on the medical service-learning trip in Nicaragua, as well as interning at Baylor Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø of Medicine for the Texas Medical Center Summer Research Internship Program.

Melo says, "Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø is where I gained the confidence, support, and inspiration to pursue my dreams no matter how big."

After graduation, she is planning to attend medical school.
