Yarn ¡°bombs¡± under construction
Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø students, staff and community members learned to crochet this week to prepare the Yarn Bomb sculpture. Crochet-ins start Sept. 12 to produce the needed pieces. #yarnbombqc
Artist Carol Hummel will work with the community on the public art project. The crocheters will work with Hummel to create smaller crocheted pieces, which she will stitch together and install on a campus site for seven months.
Hummel has been active in collaborative public art installations in Switzerland, Norway, India, Mexico, and at many cities across the United States.
