A newly named 38-million-year-old catlike mammal will be called Pangurban egiae in honor of a scientist's fond recollection of his Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø English class.
Dr. Ashley Poust ¡¯06 has named the new species of sabretooth nimravid in honor of his class with Dr. Joseph D. McDowell.

For the third time, Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø has earned the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity Magazine.
Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø is among 103 institutions recognized for the award in 2022. It is a national honor demonstrating an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Have cameras, will travel
Senior Sarah Walton poses for a photo with people she met in Lumbini, Nepal. She accompanied Dr. Carolyn Yaschur, associate professor of multimedia journalism and mass communication (MJMC), on her sabbatical project. They are teaching photojournalism to a group of high school girls in collaboration with Girl Reports, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls by teaching them journalism. Walton and Dr. Yaschur took cameras donated by the Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø community for their photojournalism workshop. Walton is an MMJC, communication studies and theatre performance major from New Lenox, Ill.
