DESCRIPTION:Vickie Phipps\, associate professor of art and graphic design\, will present the third lecture&nbsp\;of this year's&nbsp\;Frieze Lecture series\,&nbsp\;a 22-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø to present four talks in the fall.\n\nThis year's theme is "Student Bill of Rights and Responsibilities\," in conjunction with the&nbsp\;40th anniversary of the assassination of one of Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s most extraordinary graduates.\n\nVickie Phipps will describe a shift within the art community in broaden its focus from the ¡°radical¡± to the ¡°radicant\,¡± and the impact that¡¯s having on activism.\n\nLectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays&nbsp\;at the Rock Island Main Library\, 401 19th St.\, Community Room.
