DESCRIPTION:Dr. Tom Tredway\, former Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø president and professor emeritus of history\, will present the third lecture&nbsp\;of this year's&nbsp\;Frieze Lecture series\,&nbsp\;a 22-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø to present four talks in the fall.\n\nThis year's theme is "Student Bill of Rights and Responsibilities\," in conjunction with the&nbsp\;40th anniversary of the assassination of one of Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s most extraordinary graduates.\n\nDr. Tom Tredway will will share the story of Bill Sampson\, a 1970 graduate of Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø who left a major mark on the college\, then went on to confront the Ku Klux Klan in&nbsp\;a struggle that would lead to his murder on Nov.&nbsp\;4\, 1979.\n\nLectures are from 2-3 p.m. Tuesdays&nbsp\;at the Rock Island Main Library\, 401 19th St.\, Community Room.
