DESCRIPTION:The campus community is invited to see the film "Call Jane" at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Olin auditorium.\n\nSnacks\, prizes and a health fair will precede the film at 6:15 p.m.\n\n"Call Jane" is a comedy-drama film starring Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver. The film is about a 1960s housewife who unexpectedly becomes pregnant but has a life-threatening heart condition. She seeks an illegal abortion and ultimately joins forces with the underground Jane collective in 1968 Chicago.\n\nInspired by true events\, director Phyllis Nagy¡¯s film captures the essence of late-60s social change via one woman¡¯s quest to get a safe and legal abortion.\n\nThe film is sponsored by the Public Health program\, Students for Reproductive Freedom\, Ladies of Vital Essence\, Sisterhood of Unique Ladies\, Sociology and &nbsp\;Anthropology department\, and Women\, Gender and Sexuality Studies.\n
